Abstract
The people of Emirates are known to be diverse group of people who have helped their cultures and maintained them over the years. Although, they originally belonged to other places before moving into the UAE, the have managed to combine their rich food culture with the Arab culture to create one of the strongest culture a people can have. Development in economic sectors and the technology are bound to affect every culture differently, despite attempts by governments and media to preserve the cultures (Donovan, 2011).
This research paper seeks to study the extent to which the people of UAE are committed to ensuring the preservation of the Emirati food (Cuisine and cultures). The analysis looks at the different alternatives the governments and media in the region are using to preserve their culture and the different efforts the people living in the region are making to preserve their cultures and promote it at the same time.

CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION
1.0 Introduction
Many cultures are changing with new developments around the world. Cultures and traditions cannot be investigated or studies assuming the role of various foods and dressings that people hold close to them and value as the aspects that define them as a people. The people of UAE feel that they owe great gratitude to their forefathers who have set the pace and their culture and developed it to the place it is currently (Christensen, 2010). For this reason many feel the need to preserve their cultures as opposed to many people from other parts of the world. It has took the great efforts of the people in the ancient days to develop the Emirati culture and destroying it would be great disrespect to them (Trainer, 2013). They also took great care of the resources they had at the time to shape the way and tradition of their culture so that the people of Emirati would enjoy the fruits of their hard work. UAE counts many great accomplishments from the time it was founded and is now among the most developed nations of the world. The people of Emirati have benefited and continue to benefit greatly from the contributions of their forefathers towards the development of the nation, but despite the many advancement that the world is making today they are keen to ensure they preserve their culture and their way of life. They are also determined to ensure that they also make a contribution towards strengthening and developing their culture further.
