Marketing is a key function for every successful business, consequently, advertising has been used as the most common way of communicating products to customers. The advertisements are always done to push new products or just the existing old products and gain sales advantage over rivals in the industry. To achieve this, corporates and other businesses continue to utilize diverse channels to ensure these messages reach a maximum possible audience. With continuously growing technology, the internet, televisions and print media have become the most prominent channels where advertising images are pushed through in the society today. Two sample images are chosen to critically describe and illustrate how the images result in powerful and compelling business communication. Specific analysis focuses on the goods being sold in the images, the stereotypes being reinforced and other cultural myths being propagated.
