The Atlantic World refers to the historical era in which people and empires interacted along the borders of the Atlantic Ocean. This period began from the Age of Discovery and persisted until the 21st century. Although the Atlantic World lasted longer, the period between 1440 and 1888 is of significance. In essence, the Atlantic World encompassed regions of Africa, Europe, South, and North America along the Atlantic Ocean. It is fundamental to note that there were significant events that took place during this time.
