Introduction
The Great War, also called the First World War or World War 1, is a geopolitical struggle that emerged in 1914 and lasted for almost five years. The international conflict greatly influenced both socio-political and economic development of most nations in Europe, including Israel, Russia, United States, and the Middle East. Notably, the war eroded the central power in some countries, for example, Austria-Hungary, Turkey, and Germany against nations, such as Great Britain, Italy, Russia, Japan, France, and the United States. The aftermath of world war one may still be felt in several countries, including but not limited to Israel and states in the Great Middle East. It is believed that the two regions may have come into existence mainly as the consequences of the First World War. Assuch, it appears that the Great War may have been among the major watersheds in the geopolitical history of the 20th century. However, researches are still investigating the various impacts of the First World War on the Great Middle East and Israel.
