Scientific Proofs that Global Warming is real
Global warming is the average rise of temperature of the earth's surface due to greenhouse effect. Greenhouse effect is caused by entrapped heat within the atmosphere, caused by increase in the level of amount of carbon-dioxide gas. Carbon dioxide is mainly produced through deforestation, and combustion of fossil fuels. Research has revealed that there is a general increase of carbon dioxide in the air because of vast industrialization in different countries. Despite the many evident scientific proofs that global warming is real, some people still argue that it is groundless. They claim it is one of the man's invented theories. There are various scientific proofs that global warming is real, and it is taking place in an alarming rate. For instance, scientists have revealed that the sea level has been rising overtime. Large oceans have recorded a significant rise in water levels, caused by melting of ice caps, and glaciers in the region of Antarctica, because of high atmospheric temperature. Moreover, the ocean acidification has been increasing in last few decades. According to the current statistics, it has been approximated that the acidity level has increased by 30%. This increase has been due to rise in human activities, which release a lot of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. The upper surface of ocean water absorbs the carbon dioxide gas resulting to an increase in the acidity level. The fact that acidity level is increasing in the oceans, proofs that the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is also increasing. Since carbon dioxide is responsible for global warming, as the acidity level increases, it means global warming is also taking place at the same rate.[Easterbrook, Don. Research has also revealed that there is an increase in the temperature of ocean water. The top 700 meters (approximately 2,300 feet), of ocean, water has been showing an increase in temperature by 0.302 degrees Fahrenheit. This depicts that the atmospheric temperature has been increasing over time, a clear proof of global warming. Apart from seawater temperature increase, there has been a general increase in the general environmental temperatures. Across different countries, it has been reported that temperatures are increasing abnormally.
