It is not possible for organizations to achieve sustainable practices without human sustainability. Human sustainability is responsible for the development of knowledge and skills among the employees of the organization. Equipping the employees with the right knowledge and skills contributes towards the enlightenment of the employees. It ensures that they are able to make wise and informed decisions. The employees also become ethical as well as responsible in their undertaking when human sustainability measures are in place (Read, 2000). This therefore ensures that the employees are able to easily embrace the sustainability practices because human sustainability better equips the employees and the management with a sense of upholding sustainable practices within the organization. Organizations that do not focus on human sustainability cannot achieve sustainable practices because the employees and the management do not fully understand its significance and magnitude (Dunphy, Griffiths, & Benn, 2007).

This is because the concepts of sustainability play an integral role in empowering the employees of such organizations.
