The Market Segment
Demographic
The Vegan Food Bar shall have to operate in areas that support high demographics of vegans. Demographic segmentation is an important process in the establishment of the business in the regions that have population groups living the vegan life. It is estimated the population of vegans in the United Kingdom has significantly risen from 0.5 million to 3.5 million between 2016 and now (Robinson, N. 2019, para 5). The demographical representation of vegans, therefore, is huge in the region. For the Vegan Food Bar, conducting business in most urban places in Great Britain can easily fetch colossal profits. Operating in the urban Great Britain towns shall attract many vegans that also drink alcohol. The adaptation to living a vegan life is the business behind the bar because the movement is gaining further popularity due to the youthful power behind it (Chiorando, M. 2019, para 3). The U.K youth are reaching compassionate and ethical decisions on their lifestyle, which means greater business for the bar. Research studies indicate that half of the United Kingdom vegans are aged between 15 and 34 years, forming 41% of all vegans (The Vegan Society, 2019, para 5). The people aged at least 65 years form only 14% of all vegans. Speculation that the numbers will increase by 2020 is also high, which is another indication of increasing business opportunities for the Vegan Food Bar in the U.K.
