It is inhuman that the more power one desire to get the more corrupt one must be to gain the power. Shakespeare composed a play with bloodshed to describe effects of power. The paper elaborates how power corrupts in the play.
Discussion
Through the play, Shakespeare reveals how Macbeths greedy for power leads him to terrible deeds. The author shows how power corrupts by describing how Macbeth used to corrupt other people because of power. Macbeth thought to become a king and gain all powers granted to him. Through the process of becoming a king, Macbeth decided to control the people without assistance from the other characters. Macbeth knew that being a king, he will be in the position to perform horrible deeds to the people such as committing regicide in the society (Mukherjee & Vanfretti, 2019 p.123).
