Finance Personal Statement
My decision to pursue a Master’s Degree in Finance has been motivated by the need to advance my career in the business field to be an asset to organizations. I developed the need to engage in the career when I was worked in my aunt’s firm, Liquid Consultancy Limited that offered financial advices to various organizations. Notably, the company had customers who gained help on the strategies of improving customer experience. However, the firm experienced difficulties in terms of financial management and a long lasting solution was needed. Therefore, I developed the interest of advancing my studies in the field of business, particularly, finance, and perform researches on the various measures of curbing the problems of mismanagement of finances. Having gone through a deeper analysis of financial problems in my undergraduate program, I have a belief that my masters program would be a success. Besides, I have been engaged in internship programs that have allowed me to connect the knowledge gained in college with field work. In the event of the aim to achieve better financial management techniques, I aim to undertake a Master’s Degree in Finance and advance my research in the field.
My undergraduate program has been instrumental in forming a background of knowledge in business field. Being a student at University of Massachusetts-Amherst - Amherst, MA, U.S., I have majored in statistics (mathematics), which is vital in making calculations and handling fiscal matters. The need to engage in the financial sector is based on the knowledge on mathematics and the need to offer satisfactory services to the clients served.
