Elements and Periodic Table
In the periodic table, arrangement of elements has played a significant role in the development of science. It has enabled people to understand the nature of the world by learning the properties, classification, and identity of each element. Also, arranging elements in the periodic table has a significant impact on the growth of the education system, more so, sciences such as Chemistry, Biology, Geography, and Physics.
The periodic table outlines elements using their symbols and atomic number, which is the number of protons in an element (Dyson 332). For example, the symbol of Hydrogen, Lithium, Magnesium, Sodium, and Phosphorous are H, Li, Mg, Na, and P, respectively. The symbols of most elements are from the first or first and second letters of their English name except Mercury and Silver. Periodic tables represent elements with their full name and color codes, depending on their state at normal temperature.
Depending on the atomic number of elements, they are systematically arranged in the periodic table, i.e., from the left side to the right side and from up to bottom. Elements with an equal number of electrons are properly arranged in
