Democracy is not essentially the preeminent form of government; nevertheless, the long-term human experience has significantly proved that a democratic system of government is very stable, effective as well as fair. It is often a challenge to argue that democratic forms of governance are more efficient compared to dictatorship. Precisely, democratic systems are more efficient in certain areas, whereas, dictatorships are more efficient in others areas Gallagher 123). The importance of a democratic system of government is obtained from the definition of the concept, "a form of government which is mainly of the people, by the people as well as for the people. On the other hand, a dictatorship is a form of administration where a single person or group of people hold power and as well make all the decisions that pertain to the running of the country.
