1 The reason TOMS would be considered a social enterprise, is because the marketing strategies that it uses to attract audiences, are more socially related than what other markets may be trying to go for. In other words, while TOMS does aim to attract audiences just like other markets, they also use their strategies that appeal and relate to their respective audiences as well. Within their business model, TOMS appeals to people using aiding others. However, this is not simply done using selling products to customers, but also by working with other individuals who share the same interests as well. For example; as mentioned in the reading, TOMS works with over 100 giving partners. Thus, their reputation is a very strong, and positive one as well. This is also known as social entrepreneurship, or the use of the techniques through the implementation of solutions to social, cultural, or environmental issues.
