The education sector has been affected by the prevalence of technology by making learning and teaching more effective. Technology is used in the education sector as a powerful tool with the ability to transform and support education in many ways – from initiating novel methods of learning and working together to making it easier for tutors to create teaching materials (Shah, and Barkas, 23). With the ubiquity of smart devices that are largely enabled by the internet, a new era of getting education from anywhere at any time has dawned. It remains the responsibility of the education sector and the designers of the curriculum to take advantage of the opportunities provided by technology and revolutionise the educational sector such that learning becomes more effective and efficient. The classroom space has been redefined with increased reliance on technology in the education sector such that more learning is taking place outside the classroom.
