The article" 5 Choices you'll Regret Forever" by Travis Bradberry elucidates about decisions we make in life, relationships and the emotional feelings that affect the choices we make (Bradberry 01). Bradberry attempts to demonstrate how emotional feelings, more certainly the brain influences the decisions we make in life. For example, the current report at the University of Columbia reflected that an individual might experience more than seventy daily decisions (Bradberry 01). The number of choices a person makes may lead to decision fatigue, thus making the brain tired. Furthermore, when our brains are tired, they cannot make informative and constructive decisions (Bradberry 01). In this case, the author demonstrates that making decisions grounded on other people's views will make you dissatisfied and lead to ripple effects. For example, Bradberry shows that basing your choices on other people's views may trigger you to make a poor career choice and fails to maintain your moral values (Bradberry 02). Many students may end up selecting Degree courses based on their parents' or friends' opinions and advice, but inside them wanted to pursue another course. For instance, the student may choose an aviation career simply because his mother proposed to him, but the student wanted to pursue a career in nursing. In this case, the author explains that we should not fall prey to other people's opinions to making decisions. We should try to be true to ourselves and treat our opinion as a priority (Bradberry 02). Another issue that Bradberry demonstrates is learning to express our emotional feelings. Research shows that expressing emotions and feelings helps you connect with other people, thus leading to a happier and healthier relationship. Also, expressing yourself help to increase resilience and improve the decision-making process. According to Bradberry's analysis, emotions are unsafe and must be controlled. Boxing your feelings will make them grow and accumulate and, in the end, lead to adverse effects (Bradberry 01). Although sometimes it is hard to express your feelings, conveying them will make you honest, be relieved and transparent. For example, suppose you feel dissatisfied at work due to low wages and compensation. In that case, the best way is to arrange a discussion with your employer instead of keeping your feelings festering you and impacting your performance (Dunn et al. 1837). source..
