Kamp recession comparison and relation to hope for the American dream
Kamp compares American thick of recession to 1890, in which the US census bureau ended the America frontier. This relates to the American dream because it also reflected a hope of reality. It is also similar because came from people’s arguments and thoughts.
The contrast between view Adams has and the current view?
Adam had predestined American to be a country that everyone will live a rich life, that is full of opportunities and lack barriers to the progress. However, the dream has changed. Not all people are living in comfort. Students spend a lot in education only the graduate with debts and no opportunities.
