Decadent Heirs of Romanticism
I disagree that we are the decadent heirs of romanticism as romanticism is illogical and irrational, contrary to neoclassicism's rationality and intellectuality. Romanticism is subjective, emotional, and insane and focuses more on destructive content. We are neoclassicism as we are characterized by logical reasoning, enlightenment, society emphasis, and heroic topics.
Maya Lin was an awful architect and belonged to the neoclassical group. She used logic and special techniques in her projects. Her architectural pieces make a certain connection with nature as she takes her time to plan them out. An example is how she incredibly constructed and connected her project in the park with logic and patterns. Maya carefully takes her time to put together the pieces for them to fit together and be perfect. For instance, astronomy in the park makes the pool to show stars in the sky. Looking at her work, one wonders how those fragile and delicate glasses are placed on top of the floor. She makes her work lively by adding color and pop-up features that make real-life effects. How Maya keeps an open mind and makes her work neat and understandable makes her a perfect example of neoclassical.

His painting depicts three African American men wearing white color attire while working outside raking leaves. I think these paints exposed the existence of slavery though done secretly. Kerry's works tackle ethnocentricity and race issues that challenge the viewers. He perceives art as the foundation of past events or things. The past is connected with the present. In his work, Kerry tries to give illustrations of power and rectify blackness. His painting, such as man mansions (1995), uses black man figures to symbolize supremacy, dominance and show the beauty of black people. He mixes some history along with what he wants his audience to portray black figures. For instance, the house in his art symbolized how people live their life focusing on the outside rather than the inside. As a neoclassical person, Kerry uses his work to express what he sees in society, thus bringing out black power and excellence.
Cai Guo-Qiang is a romanticist artist. He used gunpowder which is risky, to create most of the pieces. In his art, gunpowder's significance is to create an explosion that demonstrated a little show to entertain people ("Cai Guo-Qiang"). Cai is undoubtedly the opposite of sane, although it is an inimitable art creation way. He spoke on how his art pieces are either satisfaction or dissatisfaction, conforming t
