Although many would object that the United States has minimal domestic violence cases, the facts reflect a more grievous situation. Globally, the United States has more prevalent sexual, physical, and emotional violence cases than any part of the world. Studies show that their intimate partner violently abuses the majority of women. However, most of these cases remain unreported due to social and patriarchal structures. In most communities, women are regarded as custodians of society. Considering the effect of domestic violence, women have become psychologically distressed, yet they do not report cases of abuse. Attempting to implement legal provisions to protect women's rights has not been much. Nevertheless, the fight against stopping domestic violence has long remained unresolved. Although developing restrictive laws for gender violence and educating men to respect women's rights will reduce cases of domestic violence against women, it is equally important to change the attitude of women. First, the government and policymakers must develop policies to completely annihilate violence against women. The existence of legislative provisions that work against violence levied against women will make perpetrators face the full repercussion of the law. However, the realization of these benefits must exist within the premises of implementation. In most countries, despite the existing legal laws that protect the interest of women, women have continued to suffer. The lack of responsive action against the implementation of serious legal action is based on the social system that perpetrated domestic violence in African and European countries. Women are careful not to mention the name of their perpetrators while seeking medical help. However, in order to completely eradicate intimate partner violence against women, policy maker must work together with medical practitioners and other stakeholders to protect the rights of women. According to Mahmoud (102), "The response to domestic violence is typically a combined effort between law enforcement, counseling services, and health care." The implementation process begins with sensitization of the negative impact and respect for the right of women. However, to bring the perpetrators to book government must ensure the enactment of laws and fully enact mandatory redress for causes of violence against women. The laws will provide protection to the women and remove the fear of retaliation. Secondly, men need to be educated about the rights of women. Although there have been legal provisions in curbing domestic violence against women, reports still indicate that women experience domestic violence. Reports show that the most common type of domestic violence levied on women are sexual abuse and physical violence. Many reports have been written on the two subjects as the major cause of emotional and health problems that affect women, yet no substantive amount of reduction in domestic violence has been realized. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), most of this violence is intimate partner violence. Worldwide, almost one-third (27%) of women aged 15-49 years who have been in a relationship report that they have been subjected to some form of physical and sexual violence by their intimate partner” (Kentucky np). In addition, the report further indicates that nearly 35% of all women worldwide have experienced intimate sexual abuse from their partners in their lifetime. These results show that sexual abuse has contributed massively to the rising number of HIV infections and sexually transmitted diseases. The effects sexual reproductive abuse has a long detrimental effect on women's psychological well-being globally. Men have been portrayed as the main agents of sexual violence. Therefore, the most amicable solution to resolving the challenges is to educate men by helping them change their unruly behaviors. When the strategy is combined with legislative provisions, ensure that women are well protected from the advances of men. On the other hand, the implementation of legislative solid and educating the men cannot completely resolve the problem of domestic of the attitude of women is not changed. The legalization of domestic law and sensitization of women bring about a change of attitude toward men. However, these changes cannot single-handedly reduce sexual abuse of women without the proper education of women on their rights. In domestic violence, women are the main victims of sexual, physical, and psychological abuse. The campaign to sensitive men should be equally enforced on educating women about their rights. In order to break the chain of powerlessness, a victim becomes the victimizer, and this transformation or movement from victim to victimizer is an inherent psychological quality in victims.
