Team Report 7: Employment
Argentina is a towering example of good policy changing what used to be a third world country. Argentinians can rejoice because their country is in the top 50 nations according to almost 30 different factors such as quality of life, education, and job markets. It is a great country full of opportunities, but the opportunities are not spread evenly. According to the HDR website, where aggregations of statistics exist about Argentina’s records, there is a 90 day, 3-month mandatory maternity leave offered to mothers. Compared to other nations, Argentina is ahead of the curve when it comes to reaching gender equality. Argentina has the highest GDI figure when compared to every nation in the Latin American territories. Meaning there is high equality in the country between the genders. That is a great figure to show how much positive change Argentina has done in recent history.
