Feed My Furbaby business is an online subscriptions service that delivers to its customer's tailored food products for their dogs. It is still in its initial stages and barely more than three months old. The business has its startup capital and commenced operations on a daily basis. It is a family business, but it has obtained funds from the public for initial money. Stakeholders need to understand various aspects of their business operations such as transactions, business terms such as the cost of sales, gross profit, expansion costs, depreciation of assets and its impact on the business.
The business would perform transactions such as purchasing raw materials for manufacturing dog food. These include buying items such as chicken meals, potatoes, and peas among others from an identified supplier (“Feed My Furbaby”). They will also need to make sales to stay in business. These include selling their products online to customers and making the delivery. They will also incur transportation costs to these homes. Feed My Furbaby business has to pay suppliers promptly. These include either making weekly payments. The company also receives revenues from its customers on a daily basis while ensuring that they supply them once their stock is depleted. Feed My Furbaby will also need to pay for salaries and wages. Wages for employees on contract would be paid during end month, but if there are casual labourers, then they will pay weekly fees.
