The term family has no clear definition as different sources as well as individuals define it different. Its meaning changes for people across space as well as time (Kagitcibasi, 34). Understanding the global family using sociological perspective is seen to provide a general overview of sociological studies as well as perspectives of the family in general. Most people are seen to leave in sort of families and probably think we are experts on the topic of discussion (Kagitcibasi, 35). For instance, definitions would vary from small children aged nine years from how I would define it now as well as how a person aged 60.
