Stress in the current day today is a normal and an avoidable part of human life (Maria, 2015). Too much stress, however, can be detrimental to the life of the subject and in extreme cases, it can even lead to death. Each and every day, the stress levels rise in the scale as it is indicated that the stress levels in 2015 had risen significantly compared to those that existed in the year 2014. Twenty-four percent American adults as per 2015 reported a stress level of eight on a scale of zero to ten. When one reaches such levels of stress, emotional support from friends and families is paramount even considering that it is significantly important when one is dealing with difficult issues of life (Vernon, Dillon & Steiner, 2009) . A survey conducted in 2015 showed that the stress levels in people who had emotional support, was relatively lower, ranging from5.0 in a scale of ten compared to those without support who rate was 6.3 out of ten. Loneliness and spending time alone is associated with a variety of health problems, among them is high blood pressure, the decline in immunity, cognitive decline as well as cardiovascular diseases. Lack of emotional support is linked to high rates of deaths related form cardiovascular problems, cancer, and some infectious diseases.
