Mexican food and culture
The choice of a favorite restaurant s determined by factors such as the kind of food offered, the atmosphere induced in restaurant, the location of the restaurant as well as the culture associated with the restaurant. However, most people maintain visiting their favorite eating and relaxing joints due to the quality of service provided
What comes into your mind when you think of Mexican dishes and restaurant? The aroma of hot fajitas and tasty elchiladas attracts you or even induces your appetite from across the street. It is normal to locate a Mexican restaurant in almost every corner of the street but my favourite restaurant is altonaaz. Everything about the restaurant amazes me ranging from the atmosphere, the service and even the friendly customers flowing in and out of the restaurant.
Entering Altoonaz restaurant makes you feel as if you are in a typical Spanish vine yard. The feeling is induced by the sound of soft Spanish music and salsa music playing at a distance. The distinct sound of Spanish ballads as well as the rapid flow of water fountains create a calm atmosphere. I like the sitting arrangement. The seats are smooth and when you sink in it and cruch a spiced tortilla, it brings out a great and deep mexican feel.
The walls are characterized by massive decorations ranging from hand-paintings to wall tile mosaics. The decorations mainly depict Mexican culture and designs. The entire wall displays dazzling stylish but extravagant colors. Before the excitement and adoration of the restaurant interior atmosphere fades, a friendly waitress will be at your service. Mexican waiters and waitress are ever friendly and excited, may be due to the frenzy induced by the salsa playing in the background or the typical Mexican excitement mood. The aroma of spicy food and the sound of Spanish music and Mexican salsa are the main and distinct factors that market Mexican restaurants.
To assess and determine why most people prefer the Altoonaz restaurant, I carried out a simple interview with a Gonzallo, a common and frequent customer of the restaurant.
Q. Do you like the way the restaurant looks?
A. The look of the restaurant is attractive and induces a feeling of being in Mexican. Most of the decors and paintings on the wall show how daily life in Mexico is like. I like the look of every aspect of the restaurant, from the decors to the food and to the smiles of people in the restaurant.
Q. Are you having fun eating here?
A. Nothing feels better than eating your cultural meal while listening to Spanish ballads or salsa. Most of the time I bring my family with me, this helps promote Mexican culture in the family.
Q. Did you like the food?
The food here is awesome. The balancing of spices makes the food attractive and enticing. Many restaurants claiming to offer Mexican food are unable to induce the Mexican mood and culture into their food. This makes the difference.
Altoonaz restaurant is a favorite joint for most Mexicans and Mexican culture fans. The restaurant offers a variety of tasty Mexican dishes and beverages. Given that most people visiting here are Mexicans, the overall excitement, decors and faint Spanish salsa induces the true feeling and admiration of culture. Gonzallo states that he occasionally brings his family here to instill and promote his culture.
Cuisine is described as culture (Coronado, p.15). Food is a significant phenomenon in the Mexican culture. The daily life of a Mexican is a cycle of food preparation and eating rituals. The most distinct characteristic of Mexican food is color and flavor. This is influenced by the Mexican interest in sensory experience of eating. This restaurant brings out all aspects of Mexican culture in cuisine. I am a lover of Mexican culture and visiting Altoonaz brings out the admiration and pride I have for Mexican culture. Mexican cuisine is a mixture of Mexican and Spanish cuisine, this makes it more adorable and hence it is easy to locate a favorite dish. I would recommend everyone to visit Altonaaz restaurant and have a taste of their food. There is always something for everyone. The food is real and of true Mexican accent.
It is rare to miss tortilla in a Mexican meal (Coronado, p.16). Tortilla is a fried flatbread made from corn or wheat flour. In most instances it is spiced and this brings a sweet tasty and crunchy taste. Fried wheat tortillas are soft and appetizing when eaten warm. I love warm wheat tortilla served with chicken stew.
The staple meal of Mexicans is corn hence most meals are derived from corn. Corn is ground to make tortilla while others boil and mix with beans to make pozole, a tasty corn stew. With the influence of Indians and Spanish, wheat tortilla has been adopted by most Mexicans. The dish is mostly homemade in Mexico or sold at local cafeterias known as tortilleria....
