Othello
Othello’s character is significant in the play and is portrayed as a man committed to his words and talks less. However, his personality is dramatically affected by his close confidants such as Iago who compromises others in order to get the position of the lieutenant. The character of Othello is at first not well pronounced as he is a calm person who talks less. His affection with Desdemona, who is the daughter of a prominent senator is what stirs the conflict in the lay and results in the final tragedy.
Shakespeare is creative in introducing the platy and starts by giving Othello little roles. He appears in very few instances, and the dominant characters in the first scene are Cassio and Rodrigo. The conflict and the changing character of Othello begin to change the moment he elopes with Desdemona, the daughter of Brabanzio. It happens that Rodrigo wanted to have a hand in Desdemona but then learns that she is already engaged with Othello. The hatred for Othello starts here and because Rodrigo is a wealthy man he discusses with Iago about the way to take Desdemona from Othello.
