The thesis is a statement that is put forward as a premise to be maintained or proved. Is proposition that is put forward for consideration, especially one to be discussed and proved or to be maintained as against objections. Thesis statement usually appears at the beginning of the introductory paragraph of a paper. It offers a summary of the main point or the claim of the essay research paper and many others for example “despite the neo-Confucian conservatism of the Qing regime many women of the elite household engage in activities considered to fall within the realm of men.”
Neo-Confucian is the name that is commonly applied to the revival of various strands of Confucian philosophy and political culture that began in the 9th century and reached new levels of intellectual and social creativity. It’s a movement in religious philosophy derived from Confucians in china around AD1000 in response to the ideas of Taoism and Buddhism. Neo-Confucians attempted to offer a certain explanation of the problems of the universe and of human existence. It explained the rise of evil in human nature and also practical teachings of cultivations which had important intellectual pursuit as well as moral progress not forgetting rules that they should follow in their society.
Despite the neo-Confucian conservatism of the Qing regime many women of elite household engage in activities considered to fall within the realm of men, this is seen during the Qing regime according to neo-Confucian “husbands were allowed to remarry while the women were not supposed to try while the women were not supposed to remarry but due to many women becoming windows and the economy of the country slightly dropped so the women now had to be remarried which made a lot of women to commit suicide due to being forced to get remarried again. The women were remarried so that the men can inherit the property of their dead husbands and continue improving the economy of the country.
The role of a woman according to the neo-Confucian is that the women should stay in their household and take care of their families and households but due to modernization and democratization in the countries, people with their government treat women and men equally in the twentieth century there are laws that were passed to that where stated in the new constitution and now women can get the same employment as the men, they have equal rights in participation of social –political activities. The situation in many Asian countries it has changed and there is a bigger difference now between the number of men and women who have involved economically and also politically. Few women are found in the senior political and business positions, were by the woman have a say in every decision is made and they are able men at some points in political or business positions which were unlike in the Qing regime due to the rules that were applied in neo-Confucian, the women were not allowed to make orders their duty was to be led and to follow orders from their husbands.
During the Qing regime, according to the neo-Confucian, the women and the eunuchs were not allowed to be taught since the women were only seen as the home nothing more expect they were taught by their mothers how to take care of their husbands and households not forgetting the ways of the society. We see these changes in the twentieth century whereby women have the rights to education as the male been. Now women can study what they want in the schools and create good careers for themselves. Hence the women dedicate their life in a professional career other than having a family. Which was used as a fundamental role of women in the society as referred in the neo-Confucian rules. Even if the women will start a family later they don’t quit their jobs hence they have changed the social patterns that were there in the Qing regime.
Male children were very valued in the Qing regime were by the n...
