Racism in the United States of America
Imagine how bad you would feel after recognizing that the only scholarship that would have helped you join university was given to somebody else due to race. Would this cause anger and frustration on your side? It is worth noting that when the anger continues to grow, the problem of racism also continues to grow. While the above is the case, it is significant to note that racism is an intentional violation of the civil rights of another group due to their race, skin color, ancestry or nation of origin (Foner 12). It is basically, a fallacious, unreasoned and blind denotation based on malice and prejudice of another group. For a long time, globally, racism has been a point of debate with colored nations feeling that their citizens are looked down upon in the United States of America and other European countries. However, while the above is the case, the United States of America, being the world hegemony has always failed to acknowledge that racism is practiced even today within its society. This essay argues that eradication of serfdom and deletion of racially inclined laws has not ended racism in the United States.
