Reaction to the Brave New world
Character Motivation
The “Brave New World” is a 1932 classic dystopian novel authored by Aldous Huxley. It revolves around the authoritarianism idea and is placed in a futuristic society where science and pleasure are combined to produce a feudalistic civilization. John the Savage is the protagonist in the “Brave New World” since he is cast off both by the sophisticated society of the World State and the Indian culture, and therefore he is the ultimate outcast. The conflict experienced by John is mainly his disagreements with the values of the New World State. Based on what the reader can gather from the events following the story, it is easy to recognize his character motivations, which help him overcome the conflict.
John is the central character who was raised outside of the Globe State. He has spent his entire life separated from his community on the New Mexico Savage Reservation, where the World State’s types of social power and technology had not yet been established. He finds himself incapable of fitting into the society of the World State. His entire view of the world is based on his understanding of Shakespeare’s dramas, which he can cite with great talent. John considers that his life’s purpose is not just to be contented but to search for truth and is hence appalled by the World State, where seeking truth and life’s meaning is not allowed. Consequently, he has a progression of disagreements with the morals of the World State.
