Dear Honorable Speakers,
RE: DECLARATION LETTER ON INABILITY OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES TO DISCHARGE HIS POWERS AND DUTIES.
Dear congressmen and congresswomen, to today, I undertake a painful decision to pen down this letter to you on the subject above. Many years ago, our forefathers who took part in the Philadelphia convention yielded a constitution for us posterity. (Tushnet, et al. 18). This document, fellow patriots, established a stable federal government with the three organs, namely, the executive, legislature, and judiciary. Importantly, it set up a proper system of checks and balances to curb abuse and misuse of power. Indeed, our forefathers set up the aspirations of our great country in the preamble. It was their wish that we, the people of the United States forge a perfect union, establish justice, guarantee our tranquillity, establish a mechanism for the joint and collective defense, advance our welfare and give to ourselves and our posterity the blessings of liberty.
Honorable ladies and gentlemen, it is in the realization of my duty as your vice president to defend and uphold our constitution that I undertake this painful decision to write to you. In recent times, I have observed with a lot of concern the conduct of the President of the United States of America concerning his health, and I am worried and deeply concerned, to say the least. The President is presently unfit to hold the highest office in the land as he cannot discharge the duties that the constitution bestows on him. It is for this reason, dear countrymen; I wish to invoke the 25th amendment section 4, asking you to remove the President from office. I have consulted widely on this issue.
