Student’s Name Professor’s Name Course Date Rock Music Rap When Rap, Hip Hop, and R&b came on to the scene, it changed the way people started listening to music. It quickly became an art form developed by black performers in the early 1970s and gave birth to DJs that would isolate instrumental beats between funk, soul, and disco, combining a repetitive beat. During this time, it consisted of rapid rhyming dialogue over a beat that would match the words of the rapper like a melodic flow. Most rappers would rap about how they would grow up in rough neighborhoods and how channeling their pain through their lyrics was a way they could voice what they were feeling. The speculations on who started the rap genre allowed many hearsay and doubt and created false representations of who started. However, only DJ Kool Herc, the infamous DJ, can claim homage to the start of the rap genre. Rock Music Rap is idea of turntables to create loops that switched from break to break, creating rhythmic beats by looping the breaks. When this loop didn’t break, the beat became continuous as well then rapping over the loop was created. Next, with the sensation known as rap, it became more popular, skyrocketing in urban areas and hoods across the planet. The Bronx brought about the unstoppable genre of something new and creative and bridged the gap between poetry and how words can sound intimidating, violent, and inspirational through emotions. One of the most famous rap groups on the scene was N.W.An incredible. It was known for its controversial lyrics that involved pimping, sexual content, drugs and racial tensions with the police. They were notorious for creating a rebellious period that consisted of violence and riots. While being called original gangster music, they enticed many people, especially youths from African American communities, to take on the image of thug or gangster. However, during the 1990s, tensions exploded between the east coast and the west coast. The groups began to fight over who dominated the rap scene in the evolution of stylistic rhyming and who had the better music that the audience favored the most. As a result, this led to the untimely demise of Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G, who were once friends turned enemies and started deadly feuds, diss records and shootouts. Their murders to this day are still unsolved but paved the way for new upcoming rappers that eased the tension between the west coast and east coast confrontational feud, allowing rappers such as Eminem, Jay-Z, and 50 Cent to transcend both sides without causing a rivalry. Indeed rap music has left a powerful, long-lasting impact that will be told for generations to come. It has changed how people write their lyrics and brought together many forms of music, combining rap music, such as horrorcore rap, country rap, mumble rap, and metal rap. These combinations made rap culture more diverse among other races, contributing to singers and rappers trying different sounds or tones. If they wanted a darker melody, they would contact either rappers or singers to create a unique sound in their song. Until now, have you ever heard of rock band rap? Well, I’m about to tell you about it. You probably think it would be impossible to achieve because you already assume it consists of a guy playing guitar, another guy playing drums, and the other screaming out his vocal cords and singing in lots of face paint. Well, think again. Let me convince you why my music is on a three-dimensional level. You will be ama...
