PLACE OF WOMEN IN THE SOCIETY
Over the years women have been discriminated and have been viewed as lesser beings. This perception is neither here nor there because women have ventured into areas in which it had been seen as a male thing. It is very encouraging to know that more women are taking up responsibilities in which earlier on male-dominated. In one article the writer brings about the issue of gender balance in which the male mostly dominate compared to the females. The research is therefore done to ascertain the truth concerning the same. There was the need for the level playground for everyone be it male or female. Research has shown that mostly male scholars publish more than female colleagues. The analysis contributed to the analysis of gender bias and thus the gender discrimination could be eliminated through the institutional changes. The most dominant kind of authorship was the male publications. A system content analysis was done to determine the gender ratio of the authors and from there identify the methods employed, the ratio of qualitative to quantitative research. The issue was the women were not fairly represented in the field of making publications.
