This essay discussess the factors affecting the acquisition of english as a second language.
The monitor hypothesis argues that a learner's language is polished by correcting deviations. On the other hand, an effective filter contends variables such as self-confidence, anxiety, and personality traits affect the acquisition of a second language. My view is that acculturation is the most effective way of acquiring a second language. When it comes to the topic of acculturation, most of us readily agree that it's not possible to separate language from culture. The degree to which the learner gets assimilated to the culture determines the learner's ability to acquire the second language. Where this agreement usually ends however is on the question of the relationship between acculturation and second language acquisition. Whereas some are convinced that this language is not effective, others maintain that this method of acquisition is unreliable.
I believe acculturation is the simplest and the most effective method of acquiring a second Language. The following are the important elements influencing students' performance in learning English as seen through the perspective of classroom university professors. Learners who begin a Second language after puberty are less prone to developing a native-speaker accent.
This study paper discovered that three factors influence the learning environment: the psychological environment, the academic environment, and the physical environment.
The physical and academic atmosphere or environment of the classroom goes hand in hand and has an impact on student learning and morale while acquiring English as a second language.
Those who begin beyond fifteen years are far less likely to attain complete grammatical proficiency. Ladies perceive second language acquisition differently than men. While men put a huge emphasis on their hierarchical connection preservation, women tend to be more gentle and cooperative when dealing with relationships. The culture of women matches second language acquisition since it's more easily adaptable while coping with their identity threat provided by L2 learning. There is a link between socioeconomic class and L2 attainment.
Students from lower socioeconomic groups do worse in L2 learners than students from higher socioeconomic groups. In a multilingual and bilingual culture, learning and acquiring a second language is critical.

In terms of Gender, Women may learn languages more quickly than males. They are willing to absorb these new languages expressions into their speech while at the same time they are receptive to them. Thus, any aspects of interlanguage diverge from the norms of targeted languages. Males are less effective in acquiring a second language compares to women. Despite women having a much positive mindset towards the culture of targeted language and being motivated, they tend to drop out. Ladies perceive second language acquisition differently than men. They utilize interconnected chance to make more output, whereas males use interrelated chance to gain more input, as reported by Bacon. In a few words, it's still not clear why ladies outdo men when it comes to second language acquisition. The fact that ladies have an optimistic attitude appears to be widely accepted. Cultural differences in the culture of both male and female characters are other probable factors.
