The world consists of people who have different cultural practices and beliefs. According to Levy, Gilat, and Ronny Razin (2012), cultures distinguish the way of life and beliefs among people, and thus what one community belief may not necessarily be the same when compared with another community for example; there are those who believe in a supreme God who has control over everything in the world and there are those who believe gods with each god having power over a certain aspect of nature such as god of the sea and god of the wind. The Aeneid is a poem written by Vergil from the Roman Empire, it is about Aeneas who wandered for years and after the decline of Troy, he headed to Italy to fight the Latins and eventually founding the Roman nation. The main purpose of this essay is to discuss the themes of freewill and fate in The Aeneid.
