Abstract
This article takes into account four published articles on the nursing responsibilities and financial responsibilities. Dufheld, Roche, Blay, & Stasa (2011), says that there the strategies that are put in place to promote and improve the taskforce and management down from the unit level are already effective as the healthcare facilities are improving. According to Thorgrimson and Robinson (2005), since there was a shortage of nurses in the Children’s National Medical Center, there developed a campaign in order to recruit these nurses. Nurse leaders are the ones in control of the largest sectors of the hospitals in the labor budget, Kathy Douglas (2010). Hudson Thrall (2007) states that the heads of finance in the states focus more on the balance sheets as the nurse leaders are working on the indicators of the clinical care. Various studies have been conducted on grooming nurse to the point of the medical organization in order for them to master high leveled skills in providing healthcare. Shaping of nurses is a major thing that an organization should do in order to ensure growth and success of the individual. Leaders must ensure that nurses are provided with unlimited exposure to financial information, their safety and high quality, that enable the nurses achieve positive outcomes. Continuous nurse education, by the nurse leaders should do regularly in order to improve the registered nurse workforce.
Nurse leaders are found to be the largest controllers of labor budget and to some extent the biggest section of the major budget. The efficiency of controlling this sector can bridge between either the financial downfall of the organization or financial stability of the organization. There are various reasons for the separation of finance and the nursing business. It should be noted that there has been an evolution in the function of the nurse leader; nurse leaders strive for bigger business and skills in the financial sector.
