RESPIRATORY THERAPIST
A Respiratory Therapist is a specialized medical practitioner whose job involves taking care and treating patients with respiratory disorders. In many cases, the expert must have acquired a degree in the field to help him or her learn the relevant skills, and knowledge needed in the line of duty. Hence, the primary responsibility of the practitioner to help patient with severe respiratory diseases such as chronic bronchitis and those with impaired respiratory due to trauma from fatal accidents (Catherine, 643-655). Therefore, in this paper, am going to highlight a few reason am interested in entering the profession of respiratory therapy and why am the best fit for this career.
The main reason I love to join the profession is that it can give the chance to work in many areas such as research, home care, disease management, education, pediatrics among others. Unlike other careers, being a respiratory therapist gives one an assurance that after finishing school, he or she will get a place to work (Fernanda, 907-911). And, therefore, this has to be the primary drive for me joining this field.
Saving someone’s life is something that I desired, and it gives me the sense of humanity. Having a passion for touching lives is. Therefore, another reason is interested joining the profession. Be aware profession and passion goes in hand and so am the best fit to work in this field? Results, for this reason, are that it improves efficiency, effectiveness and performance outcomes due to serving patients from internal motive far from a mere job.
