Question One
I had a rough understanding of the role and scope of pharmacy and practice technician before joining this course. However, I learned more other new information within this unit of pharmacy technician practice. Precisely, there are some additional roles in this unit which I did not know about. These roles include receiving new prescription orders, prescription transfer, supporting in allotting, performing and authenticating equipment hygiene, upkeep and calibration, quality assertion activities, and many other exciting roles.
Generally, these roles excited my desire to be a pharmacy technician since my dream was to work in a hospital setting and help those who are not feeling well regain their health. Pharmacy technician profession provides me room to fulfill my dream as some of the practice roles, such as receiving new prescription orders and their transfer are my favorite. Above all, the art of being surrounded with challenging medical terms, as found in prescriptions, will open my mind and keep it in the scope of the medical world. Finally, the joy in my heart will be fulfilled when I find out regularly that the prescriptions I serve in the process of practice work out on patients to the expectations, an experience that needs a devoted mind to concentrate in studies to keep up with the requirements entirely.
