The British Invasion
During the period of the British invasion, The Beatles were prioritized to be one of the greatest bands to ensure its success. However, I think that the author could have also included The Kinks as it also brought a lasting impact on rock history during the period of the British invasion. The Kinks was one of the bands alongside The Beatles, which was believed to be influential rock acts in the years 1960 to 1970s (Fleiner 88). Like most bands during this period, The Kinks started with an outfit of blues and R & B. In four years, it changed to be one of the staunch English band incorporating some significant elements of the country's folk, and blues.
