The main argument from The Massacre at El Mozote is the role of media since the government refused to believe the information. One may wonder whether the stories told by the media are valid as per the massacre that took place in El Mozote (Danner 3). El Mozote is one of the villages in El Salvador in the department called Morazan. The author of the article is Mark Danner. He reports how a group of Salvadoran Army entered the village of El Mozote and killed many people including children, men, and women. This event took place in 1981, but Mark Danner published the report on the issue of the New Yorker in the second half of the 20th century in the year 1993.
The main problems that the article is the issue to address international human rights based on the brutality of the Salvadorian Army and the inability of the American embassy accept the reports made by Danner about the Massacre at El Mozote. The excavations revealed the remains from the church of Santa Catarina.
