Power-sharing In Federalism
Federalism is a type of political structure or organization applied in states that are made up of several member states. Within this type of political organization, federalism is the mechanism that is used to unite the member states of the given country into one functional administrative organization but, at the same time allowing each of the member states to maintain their autonomy within the various levels of jurisdiction. To develop this political system, the member states would generally be required to come together and coherently from the basic rules of engagements within the federal power. These rules would be implemented as a joint effort of the contributing states as each of them have a contribution to the formulation of the laws. In this way, all members of the federal system share in the decision making and execution activities.
Federal systems are often driven by the political principles that advocate for the importance of using collaborative decision making and system coordination. Such political systems base their ideologies on using decentralized power systems as an effective and acceptable method of protecting individual and local liberty.
