Cleopatra VII is identified as an Egyptian queen who gained popularity in drama and history and is recognized as the lover of Julius Caesar, who later was married to Anthony. The three sources provided, that is r1, r2, and r3, have a significant explanation of the life of Cleopatra, with each having their view based on how they knew her. These sources are from the Egyptians, Caesar, and Plutarch. Where one of them was present during the reign of Cleopatra. Therefore, these sources identify Cleopatra as a reasonably beautiful woman whose kingdom was worse than her husband, Mark Anthony. Plutarch argues that Cleopatra took from her husband and worsened the domain as she was fierce (r1). Caesar and Cleopatra had a mutual relationship where each person had their self-desires as Caesar wanted the wealth of Cleopatra.
In contrast, the latter wished Caesar to help her ascend to power (r2). Hence, Caesar describes Cleopatra as a proud woman as she thought of herself as the richest woman in the world. According to r3, Egyptian sources told Cleopatra was a leader who, besides enjoying the company of scholars, she elevated their ranks.
The best source is the r2 which Caesar wrote, and I consider it the best because he was present and has first-hand information. However, I feel that his work is biased because they were lovers and might have been disappointed that he did not marry her 7hence did not get the wealth he desired from her. Although Caesar wrote his work many years after, his work is reliable and valid since he researched before writing and did not include biases bec
