Jail or Settlement
Jail is a place for people proven guilty by the court of law, whose traits make them unfit to live with others in the society in peace, love, and harmony. Most of the individuals in jail have committed crimes that are despicable, whether intentionally or unintentionally. In this paper, the focus is on whether leaders found guilty of charity fraud should be jailed or officials meet and come up with a plan to resolve the disputes. There are many charity projects in the country to support people who are unable to cater for their needs. Some individuals are sick, others are poor and most of them lack a place to call home. It, therefore, means that the funds collected for the project are able to change someone’s life, by ensuring that cancer patients do not die, and if they do, their families receive appropriate support. When a leader takes the money and uses it for his or her personal issues, it means that people will die and family members will suffer. Although there is no match equivalent to life, a long jail term for such people will give the family members a peace of mind as they will be proud of the justice deed. It will also serve as a warning to other leaders who plan on illegally using charity projects to attain and accumulate wealth.
In the case above, when settlement is used to resolve the disputes, it means that the criminals will be asked to pay fines and return the money they stole. That is not a punishment, in fact, it will motivate and encourage other individuals planning on doi...
