Recycling is the process of reusing waste or discarded materials. It is important because it helps to preserve some of the existing natural resources for future generations. Government action and public concerns are rapidly increasing to oppose unconventional methods of disposing of waste materials, which are detrimental to the society. There was a period when the motives of recycling were clear. Within this structure of thought, environmentalists advocate for “zero waste” strategy and recycling to reduce the need for resources and raw materials.
Environmentalists consider recycling mandatory because it reduces the environmental problem of additional landfill sites. Recycling has many advantages and economic viabilities. While waste prevention is at times more favourable as opposed to recycling, it is even simpler to structure a recycling program (Grosswiler 77). In addition, both the magnitude of recycling and the rapidity of its growth are remarkable. Scrutinizing the correlation between recycling and wider issues of the conservational policy explains the importance of preserving the environment.
Recycling should be mandatory because it reduces the current environmental crisis and maintains the balance of natural resources.
