Should Transgender Athletes Be Allowed to Take Part in Olympic Games in Standard Gender Classification? Why?"
The debate over transgender people contending in gender-based sporting activities like the Olympic games is gaining traction. Even though exclusion is never a good thing, allowing transgender people to compete in Olympic events is unfair because it gives them an edge over the competition. Each gender has unique attributes that enable them to perform tasks more efficiently. Men, for example, are more robust and have a more remarkable ability to gain muscle mass (Choi). On the other hand, women have a higher pain threshold and are innately more flexible than men. Transgender athletes should not participate in the Olympic games due to these inherent advantages.
Although it's good to be inclusive, whenever it comes to something as significant as the Olympic games and sports in which human physiology and biology are the most crucial components, there must be some boundaries on what constitutes a woman or a man. If everyone participating in the Olympics is supposed to compete on an equal footing, they must possess the same fundamental attributes. For example, if an anatomically biological man competed in women's javelin, he would have an immense physical advantage over other natural-born women and shatter all records.
Some believe that allowing transgender people to compete in sports like the Olympics would help the LGTB cause. Another issue if transgender people are allowed to compete is countries taking unfair advantage of transgender people to win gold medals. This level of deception has occurred in the past. For example, German marathoner Hermann Ratjen competed in the 1936 Berlin Olympics. Even though he fooled people into thinking he was a natural-born woman, it later emerged that he was actually an anatomically biological man (Heggie). That humiliating scandal sparked outrage in the sporting world. Although Dora was a man, Germany coerced him to p
