From the video and my research, there is substantial evidence that extremophiles or animals that are highly adapted to “extreme conditions” are a fascinating part of the question of existence and life as we know it. Extreme conditions may typically refer to conditions such as temperature, salinity, radiation, heat, pressure, or nutrition. However, I think that our definition of extreme conditions is highly centered on our conception or perspectives of these conditions and not that of the concerned material organism. However, I also agree that the existence of extremophiles and the nature of their adaptations has great implications on how we look at the existence of life in other and even non-terrestrial environment.
