Application for a Ph.D. Degree in Mathematics
I am a postgraduate mathematician from the University of Utah and a mathematical graduate from the Kuwait University. My great passion lies in the power of synergy; thus, I value teamwork within a math environment. Presently, I have received a Paaet scholarship award. In view of this, I wish to apply for a Ph.D. degree of mathematics especially in differential equations in your esteemed institution, the University of Manitoba, as a Kuwait citizen.
As earlier mentioned, I hold an undergraduate degree with the Kuwait University in its College of Sciences. Notably, my high motive to develop a career within the field of math drove me into pursuing a mathematics postgraduate degree. This has helped me develop good grounds and unwavering foundation for the development of my mathematics career. For instance, the study of calculus courses including differentiation and integration thoroughly prepared me for other units such as real analysis. Some of the vital rules in calculus include the product, quotient, power and trigonometric rules. In regard with this, the unit was a pre-requisite to learning of Fourier series, Lagrange multipliers, Riemann equation, eigenvalues and eigenvectors and the De Moivre’s Theorem. The perpetual use of the mathematical tools in econometrics has enhanced better understanding of the learned concepts; hence, preparing me for the on-the-job experience.
Besides, the instructors expected students to relate and apply the learned knowledge to solve problems facing professionals in the discipline of physics and engineering. It is worth mentioning that application of the mathematical ideas call for critical thinking, unmatched problem-solving and exemplary decision-making skills. In differential equations, one ought to have precise understanding of calculus, which I luckily possess. For example, in first order differential equations, the wave, heat and Euler equations highly depend on the powerful tools of differentiation and integration. In addition, I have unparalleled knowledge in the use of the Taylor’s theorem and the definition of fields in the R space (in differential equations). These theories heavily rely on undoubted comprehension of the matters related to differential equations. Apparently, the undergraduate and postgraduate studies have adequately shaped me to pursue a course in differential equations.
In an effort of proving my capabilities and broadening my knowledge, I have actively participated in research work. Already, I have a documented proposal with the title "Boundaries of Herman Rings for Conservative Systems." Evidently, this is a progress to...
