Constantine as a Devout Christian
Right from the beginning of the text, Pamphilus describes Emperor Constantine as a man of God who sought to ensure that Christianity and Christians thrived amidst the many challenges. He describes how mankind cherished his reign as the emperor arguing that it was a triumphant one for those under his leadership. Throughout the text, the author portrays Constantine's life as one worthy of celebrating, and which should be emulated by other emperors. He is of the opinion that the life he lived on earth merits him a happy and everlasting life in heaven as even God was pleased by how he led the people and valued Christianity.
