Critical Analysis Religion & Theology Essay Research (Essay Sample)

This task required one to undertake a critical analysis of the Hebrew Bible CANON- prophetic books in relation to Ezekiel 34:25-31.

Critical Analysis of the Hebrew Bible canon- Prophetic Books in relation to Ezekiel 34:25-31.
Throughout the Bible, it is observable that God always takes care and protects His people provided they believe in Him and stay faithful to Him. In the canon- Prophetic books of the Hebrew Bible, there are several instances where the exodus motif presents itself, and God delivers His people from trouble as He promised in Ezekiel 34:25-31 and delivers wellbeing and prosperity to them. This informs the analysis undertaken herein of the canon prophetic books with regards to the promises of exodus God makes to his people in Ezekiel.
In the book of Joshua, the Bible narrates about the activities of the Israelites in most parts of Canaan. This activities amongst others include the division of land amongst the twelve tribes led by Joshua and representatives from the tribes and testimonies of how the enemies of Israelites were destroyed. God leads the command during this conquest of enemies’ land while Joshua also reminds Israelites of the importance to observe the law. This book represents the exodus motif as Israelites are seen to conquer and break free from their enemies (Woudstra 1981). This was promised by God in the book of Ezekiel 34:25-31 when He promised protection for Israelites, land that yields crops amongst other things.
