Dream; Where the Different States of Consciousness Meet
Dreams have been analyzed for centuries by different scientists, psychologists, philosophers and even theologists. Many diversed hypothesis and interpretations of values have been raised over the time. Although ardently unpredictable, dreams are the most inexpensive form of escapism conceivable. It is the mind's way of reorganizing itself which can invoke fear, happiness, sexual arousal, and can affect one's conscious behavior. It is common to hypothesized on why people dream, who controls it, how it works, and what values do they have. Several theories have gained credibility such as Sigmund Freud’s analysis of dreams, Frederick Perls’ Gestalt theory, and Ernest Hartmann’s theory. Despite their contribution, dreams remain as enigmatic as ever.
