The Democratic Party's decision on who should face the incumbent president, Donald J. Trump, should be issue-based. The idea of party endorsement by the democrats does not give a clear-cut confidence on the candidate of choice. Traditionally, the past primaries conducted by the Democratic Party are always a contest between the moderates and the progressives, where the progressive Democrats are in support of controversial policies about immigration and health care.
The middle group of the Democratic Party voters is liberal-minded. It continues to press on matters related creation of jobs, reduction of tax levies, and reformation of the health sector. The division in the party itself is a clear battleground during the upcoming party primaries. In a conversation with other citizens, it is clear that they still feel the factions of the party are growing into three. The third group constitutes those who describe themselves as moderate to conservative consisting of most minority groups (blacks, Hispanic, and other non-whites). However, for the formations in the Democratic Party, the crucial concern is "who can defeat Mr. Trump?" in the next polls.
