Social Media and Society
Human beings are generally very social creatures. To thrive in life, human beings need the company of others. The strength of these relations impacts our happiness and mental health. These social connections between human beings ease depression, anxiety, and stress. They also provide delight and luxury, boost self-worth, and prevent loneliness, which adds to human life. On the other side, the lack of deep social contacts poses serious threats to one's emotional and mental strength. Many people depend on social media sites in the modern world, for example, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, youtube, etc. to interact with each other. As much as these platforms have their benefits, human beings should be aware that social media cannot replace real-world human connections. Real-person contacts are significant in triggering the hormones that ease stress, making one feel much positive, healthier, and happier.
