Advantages and disadvantages of TCP/IP
CP/IP uses the client/server model where communication is from one point to another in the network (Kozierok, 429).This ensures that the requests from one computer to the other in the web are accessed by the client when required. TCP/IP operates without being controlled thus acting to provide an association between computers and servers. It offers vital communication protocol of the internet in either intranet or extranet. However, it is faced with the complexities in security and difficulties when comes to public address (Kozierok, 429). This protocol inadequately supports the client access.
Exchange, IMAP, and Pop3 electronic mail systems
POP3 (Post Office Protocol) is a kind of protocol in the internet mail server that offers a storage system to the incoming message. It was first developed by POP2 revision in 1985.This mail systems creates local copies of emails and deletes the original from the server. POP3 is regarded as an older model of offline email (Mullet, 24). POP3 was developed to offer a simple means of downloading copies of emails for offline reading. The software also removes the created emails from the remote server.
IMAP mail system on the other hand was created in 1986 to fit the modern day world of internet connectivity. It offers the users with the design that facilitates single client email connectivity (Mullet, 24).When compared to POP3, IMAP since it is a Microsoft product; it provides the users with an opportunity to log into different client’s emails. It permits many users to access y can quickly identify the messages that need attention.
Exchange as another mail shared mailboxes where the Microsoft system developed to offer a server program that runs window server contact manager. Exchange helped to develop MAPI as an upgrade of IMAP and POP3 (Mullet, 24).Exchange offers suitable email syncing function and assists in the syncing of tasks, calenders and contacts. IT offers a concurrence outlook where the users can check co-workers calendars to plan for the sharing of files.
Evolution of the Web
The World Wide Web which started in1989 has changed the nature of communication by the users all over the world. The users use it to shares news and ideas which have enabled them to obtain the experience necessary in day-day activities (Bean, 1). The web used nowadays came into existence due to the efforts of an open web community that necessitated the application of web technogies. The developing of HTML5 and CSS3 which supported all web and web browsers has enabled the students of today to get links in web pages and apps to improve their interaction content.
