Introduction
A local area network or LAN is a device network linking with one another within the scope of a school, office, laboratory, hospitals and other computerized organizations. In the LAN topology, a local domain server is connected to computers and their peripheral devices including a shared printer of a storage disk. The Local Area Networking system assists many individuals in performing their computer-oriented task effectively in various organizations or institutions within the society. The design and installation of a LAN require numerous cables and wires for the IT professionals to visually document the LANs topology. For a perfect design of a secure local area network system, there are various factors to be considered such as the placement of host in the network, the topology, selection of hardware and software techniques, and the suitable configuration of each component within the network (Antonakos, James and Kenneth 12).
